Yes, Hillary, I know how you feel

In a prior life, when I had a job paying  above the poverty line, I sent an email to an employee asking that she “Contact these turkeys and find out what their problem is,” or some such words. The “turkeys” were another organization within the same company.

The employee forwarded (note – I said forwarded) the message to the other organization with her request for info. So I kinda know how Hillary and Obama feel about the wikileaks.com classified data leaks. On a very small scale.

I found out about the indiscretion when a person from the other organization visited me at my desk, showed me the forwarded email, and said they they were going to assume that I meant the comment lovingly.

I doubt that Hillary and Obama is going to get off that easy.

Yuma –> home

Saturday. Wanting to depart early for an all day drive home. But the scooter battery is still not charged, needing replacement. Neighbor Don and Bob finally returned from Don’s Sat. dental visit and helped my to put Scoot onto the trailer without power.

By the time I fueled and left the area, it was noon. I had to drive the last hour in the dark. Dim moho lights (gotta fix that) and my eyesight made for a treacherous drive through Sierra Vista. Thank God I had the GPS, for without it I would have gotten very lost.

Algodones Mx visit

Monday/Tuesday Nov 8/9 visited dentist with no appointment. Got a crown re-glued and impressions made for new partial

Today, Friday, back to dentist for new partial. It feels like a good fit.

When I tried to start scoot, I discovered that the trunk was open all night and the battery was 100% dead. It is currently on the charger and the trunk light has been permanently removed.

Not having time to deal with the dead battery before the dental appointment, I had to walk the 2 1/4 miles to the border. I needed that to let me know how much I need to get more exercise. I tried 3 or 4 folks at the border crossing to get a ride back to the casino, but all had an excuse, except for one that said ok then disappeared around a corner because his wife had not met him at the crossing. So I muttered “wait until you need help, karma will get you” and started hoofing it.

An acquaintance appears

Today as I was stepping into Barth I heard a horn toot. A fellow in a sleek new class B motorhome pulled up and said something like “Excuse the horn. I recognized you and wanted to get your attention before you got inside.”

After a few pleasantries I finally said “How do I know you?”

“You are Garry P. aren’t you?” was the reply. “I recognized your RV and that strange two-front-wheel scooter. I read your blog.”

Oh. The blog. I thought no one read it! After an introduction to put us on equal terms, Don and brother Bob revealed that they are here for the same reason I am.

So I guess that we are now acquaintances.

At Quechen Paradise Casino, CA

West of Yuma. Getting some dental repairs done, cost of $260 for cleaning, remake a partial with different material, reglue a crown and make a replacement bite protector for night grinding to replace the one I lost. Work to finish Friday.

More trouble with the satellite equipment on Monday mourning, causing a substantial loss of potential gains. Since it is working again now, I am trying to recover the amount I could have made on Monday when I was offline.

I had breakfast at the casino today; pancakes, a cheese blintz, an apple blintz, eggs, six sausage links, two biscuit and gravy, coffee, orange juice, home fry potatoes – about $6.50. I did not look at the rest of the buffet as my two plates were spilling over the edges. I just got back from a bowl of ice cream and a war of wits with a penny slot, $1 invested (my spin-button thumb against their guarantee-you-loose artificial intelligence computer). All that button thumbing wore me out, so time for a nap.
