There have been blog postings, forum postings etc. for over 12 months about some unidentified calamity prompting Bush to declare marshal law and suspend he 2008 elections. Some have even mentioned an economic crisis as the cause.
Not that I believe in conspiracies, but there is something behind those little green men that run around my shruby bushes in the wee hours of night!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every Member of the House were voted out in Nov? And every incumbent in the Senate? At least a bunch of them.
Every House Member is up for re-election in Nov. And 35 of the Senators.
Maybe the populace is finally “mad as hell, and won’t take it anymore” due to the bailout! It is a “tax the poor, give to the rich!” scheme. Do you really want Congress to give all that cash to the persons that caused it all? Persons that will experience no repercussions? Persons that will get richer due to the bailout? Persons that do not give a crap about you? Do you really have that $10,000 that the bailout is going to cost YOU?
Now may be the best opportunity we have ever had to give control of our country back to the people. Or at least send a strong message at the election. A lot of citizens are pissed.
Don’t vote your representative back in just because he is good at the pork barrel – vote for what is good for the country instead. Load Congress up with new blood, untarnished reputations, un-beholden to anyone else in Congress. Then call them weekly.
McC’s campaign seems to be shielding Palin. With her popularity, she should be turned loose. Could McC be afraid that he would be forced into following her lead? Could be. After all, she draws many more fans than McC draws supporters. McC, cut that leash.
I gotta admit that McC has been doing some ‘maniacal’ shooting from the hip on the Wall Street Coup d’Etat lately. Somewhat spastic. Not a confidence builder.

I am waiting for Congress to reject Paulson’s and Barnake’s proposals. I am not sure that I trust the Reserve so I hope they do. Since when do financial analysts have much more than a Vegas edge? Buy a 700 Billion $ basket of worthless mortgages? Give me a break – buy mine instead as it is not worthless.
Paulson? That sounds like Pat Paulson, a comedic sidekick on the Smothers Brothers TV Show that always ran for President. Be prepared for a not-so-comedy of errors for the next six or twelve months. And be sure that all your retirement / investment is insured.
A talking head of the democratic persuasion stated on Cavuto’s show (Fox News) that Obama would raise cash instead of taxes to fund benefits by cutting gov contractors.
Idiot check: Does Obama really believe that gov employees actually work? They run around, meeting and reporting to each other with endless hot air, phone calls and especially air travel, creating worthless reports and data. Work? Ha!
The contractor minions do all the actual work at pay scales a tiny fraction of the aforementioned gov employees, and zero benefits. Somewhat like the illegal aliens.
Fire all the contractors, and not only will the finances be in a stalemate – so will the entire bureaucracy.
